"First impression: no one responds"
My first impression hasn’t been great. I reached out expecting at least some kind of reply, but I’m still waiting and nobody has gotten back to me

"App and online account don’t really work right"
I try to use the app or log in online to see my bill, and like half the time it just doesn’t work for me. It’s frustrating because I’m only trying to check what I owe, not do anything complicated.

"Great when it works, but the power keeps cutting out"
I wanted to like this, when it’s working it does the job well. But the power keeps dropping randomly, which makes it hard to trust. It’s not totally unusable, but it’s also not reliable enough for me to feel good about keeping it.

"Enrollment was frustrating right from the start"
I tried signing up with Gexa it started off feeling simple enough, but that changed fast. The account setup turned into way more of a hassle than I expected, and I went from hopeful to annoyed quickly.
The website kept making me re-enter the same information, and then I never got a clear confirmation that my enrollment actually went through. I ended up having to call just to find out what was going on, and even then, the answers I got felt inconsistent and a little confusing.
It was a bad first impression. Part of me wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if just getting enrolled is this messy, it makes me nervous about what dealing with them later would be like. I wouldn’t choose them again.

I signed up with Gexa a few months ago because the promo looked solid, especially the sign-up credit they were advertising at the time. I figured it would show up after my first bill or maybe by the second one, but after those came and went, there was still nothing showing anywhere on my account.
Over the next few weeks, I ended up calling more than once, and each time I got a slightly different answer. First they said it would show up later, then someone else mentioned some requirement I supposedly didn’t meet, which was not made clear when I signed up. It felt like the credit was just there to get me in the door, and then I had to chase it down. Frustrating experience overall.

"Took a while, but they eventually fixed it"
The issue did get fixed in the end, but it took way longer than I expected. Support kept saying things like “we’re looking into it” and “thanks for your patience,” which was fine at first, but after a while it just felt like nothing was really moving. Glad it’s resolved now, but the wait was frustrating.

I went in thinking the plans were going to be really eco-friendly, but my gut reaction was that it didn’t quite match how they made it sound. Maybe there’s some green effort there, but it felt a bit overstated to me.

"Canceling was such a hassle"
I tried to cancel my plan and ended up getting hit with an early termination fee I didn’t see coming. The worst part was feeling like I couldn’t get a real person to actually talk it through with me. Everything felt automated, and when I did get a response, it was basically the same scripted answer over and over. Super frustrating experience and not worth the headache

"Renewal pricing caught me off guard"
The rates seemed reasonable at first, or at least I thought they did. But when the renewal came around, the price was higher than I expected, and I started wondering if I had just missed something in the fine print. I tried them once the plan options felt really limited. Any small change seemed like more of a hassle than it should’ve been. Maybe that’s just how they operate, but based on my experience, I’d assume they’re not great if you need any flexibility. I wouldn’t go with them again.

I’m frustrated with Gexa. The rate seemed fine when I signed up, but then my bill came in way higher than I was expecting. I had other stuff planned for that money, and instead I had to deal with a surprise electric bill that threw everything off. The fees and pricing are confusing too, so it never really feels clear what you’re actually paying for. I ended up switching because it just wasn’t worth the stress. I wouldn’t use them again.

I really wanted this to work out, but the bills just felt too high for what I was actually getting. I switched thinking I’d save some money, and that basically didn’t happen. Maybe it works better for other people, but for me it just felt like poor value, and that’s the part that stuck with me...
